Dr. Sam Healy, Group Director of ESG
Dr Sam Healy trained as a geophysicist and has had a number of roles including research, strategy and leading a team delivering environmental research and advice for maritime projects.
As Group Director of ESG Sam is responsible for the company sustainability strategy and the delivery of a broad range of programmes across the QinetiQ Group including climate change, ethics, STEM outreach, stakeholder engagement and public reporting on ESG issues.
Sam was involved in The 5% Club (which promotes earn and learn opportunities for young people) running the campaign in its formative years and then as a Board Director until 2018. In 2020 Sam helped set up the Defence and Aerospace Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (DAEDI) network – a vibrant forum for D&I practitioners in industry and MoD. Sam is Chair of the ADS Sustainability Working Group and is a Board Director of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS), focusing on the continued professional development of CR&S practitioners. She is also actively involved in the Defence Suppliers Forum Climate Change and sustainability Steering Group.
In 2017 Sam was proud to receive the Women in Defence UK Special Award for her work on The 5% Club and STEM outreach.
