What will the judges be looking for?
The judges will be looking for examples of activities or actions by individuals and teams that have helped maximise the talent of individual women or a particular group of women. It could be improvements to the talent life journey; attract, recruit, develop, retain, or perhaps mentoring or sponsoring. It could be single actions or a concerted effort to remove barriers that are holding women back in their careers.
Finalists from previous years
Last year’s finalists were from Boeing, BAE Systems and the MoD. The winner was recognised for her strong passion for and commitment to championing the progression of women in cybersecurity for BAE Systems. The other finalists were nominated for: being a champion for women across defence by removing barriers at each stage of her career path and for helping to establish Boeing UK’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council; for working together on their exemplary response to a House of Commons Defence Committee (HCDC) inquiry, where they brought challenge and support to Defence’s most senior leaders.
